The city of Gulch is a bustling place, a haven for criminals and rogues, yet a cherished home to its natives. You might be a native, well familiar with typical, day-to-day life here. Or you may be from off-world, here for some opportunity you think you can't get elsewhere.
Or, you may have been dragged here by the dimensional portal known as the Transponser™— an outsider, confused and weary.
What will you do while you are here?
1) New arrivals: Maybe you're a mercenary who just arrived from off world. Or maybe you're a visitor who came through the transporter. Either way, you're new, and it's time to explore.
2) Taking a job: Everyone who comes to Gulch needs to have a means of making income. Maybe you've taken a job as a mercenary. Maybe you become a lowly store clerk. Either way, you need to make contact with customers.
3) Avoiding the plague: The clouds are descending and it's time to find shelter! Make your way through the streets with the others who have found themselves vulnerable.
4) Touring the city: It means a long train ride but you want to see the sights, so you pay for a token and off you go!
5) Wildcard: Whatever you want to play out! Tag around and have fun!

Epsilon (Native)
But he didn't really have any leads for the most part. The search turned into too much wandering. Which is where he was now. Though he finally did end near one of the parks in the city.
Without something really solid as a lead and a lot of preparation... The wandering never left him far to the point of being unable to get home if they called. They just need to call.
Re: Epsilon (Native)
Delta finds himself half frantic over the turn his day has taken. The dishwasher has finally given out (perhaps due to Theta's earlier... attentions), and water is all over the kitchen floor. He looks to a clock on the wall with a groan and does the only thing he can with Sigma busy at a study session for a major test, Omega off at work, and Gamma still in class.
He sends Epsilon a message.
Eppy, you know I wouldn't ask if it wasn't important, but is it possible I can ask you to pick the twins up from preschool? The kitchen sort of... flooded a bit.

Delta, you know with things like that, you only need to ask. I'm not busy. I can handle it. Schoolwork can wait a bit.

Relying on Epsilon given how frequently gone he is has always been... questionable. But he refuses to force that self-sacrifice on Epsilon that he and Omega so willingly shoulder.
Thank you so much. Once you drop them off you're free, but I just can't get there right now.

And unfortunately, Epsilon wouldn't have the temperament to handle doing that as it is... Even if he loves his family, he has things he needs to do. If things had been different, if Omega and Delta hadn't been there or hadn't been so willing? He would have probably tried harder to control his urges.
You say that as though being around my family is a hardship. I can spend some time at home once I bring them home. Unless you don't want me there for some reason...
In case something happened that no one thought to call him about.

As if he could. Besides, Epsilon had done so well at keeping himself out of this mercenary business lately, so he doesn't want to pull his brother in.

Neglecting to mention why he was so eager and determined to find a job like that. His hunt for Alpha is his own quest. He's not dragging the younger ones in.

Re: Epsilon (Native)
Usually, Wash looks at no one in particular and just takes the whole scene in. But today, someone's caught his eye, and he couldn't say why. There was something...interesting about this guy. Something about the way he held himself, like someone wandering, searching.
Maybe he could help?
"Hey," Wash says as he approaches the stranger. "You, uh, looking for something?"

And yes, we do.

Also what does he want? He never tells me anything remotely fun. It's all boring stuff like "new shoes for Theta." It's his birthday, the presents should be for him.
That can be your mission, number four. Get a wishlist out of him.
no subject
Let me see what I can figure out. No promises, but I can certainly try to get some kind of wishlist.
no subject
You have no idea.
I'll pin him to the wall and see if I can at least get boring practical stuff for him. We can compare notes. The twins are getting him books, so if you can get any titles out of him, that'll be great.
no subject
I'll do my best when I talk to him again. Guess this means I need to stop home more.
